Eric Butter, PhD for APA President
Building connections with and among our members
every day, with everyone, for everything that matters to them and our public.
Building connections with and among our members
every day, with everyone, for everything that matters to them and our public.
An "every day, every one, everything APA" is Dr. Butter's call to make APA relevant "every day, to every one of our members, for everything that matters to them, our mission, and our public." It is his blueprint for leadership, decision making, and building participation among our members in the work of the Association and advancing our strategy.
An "Everyday APA" is one where our members interact in association with other members and the work of the Association every signle business day. We can build upon the advances we have made in communication, advocacy, and inclusion to create an even greater connection to the Association. It will take new iniitatives and agile positioning of current Association activities to make
"APA an everyday asset to our members!"
An "everyone APA" is one where we are supporting our members’ careers for everything that matters to them. And, an "everyone APA" engages all members, staff, key partners, and stakeholders in our work. This call is meant to build on our recent years' focus on building inclusion and belonging among our members and join this effort with a focus on growing connections around our common goals. We must work to be relevant to our scientists, applied psychologists, and educators while advocating for our health service practitioners.
An "everything APA" is one that lsitens to "all things" that matter to our members and our mission. It prioritizes action in the common interest and the work we do to impact our public. Its that "every one of us matter to this mission and together we can do a big thing." The "big thing" we can do together: "An All-in Rally for Population Health".
